# QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
1. What happens if I forget to pick a running back?

If in any given round you forget to login and make your own pick for a running back, we will automatically give you the highest yardage back that is available and that you have not already selected.

You will be assessed a 15 yard personal foul and have 15 yards deducted from that back's performance.

We will only provide an automatic pick three times throughout the season.

2. On the Standings page, what is the number in parentheses next to my score?

This is your first tiebreaker score, and the lower the number, the better. This number represents how far off you were from predicting the actual yardage gained by the back you selected for that round.

On the cumulative standings page, the number is your cumulative tiebreaker score the year, meaning we've added up how far off you were from all the races. Again, the lower the number, the better.

We do not display the secondary tiebreaker, the predicted number of carries, in either the weekly or cumulative standings.

3. WHY CAN'T I LOGIN?

When this happens, the problem almost always has to do with either the browser configuration or security software (firewall). Try resetting your security software or browser configuration to enable/accept "cookies."

The website keeps track of users by saving small, temporary files to your computer called "cookies." These "session" cookie files are deleted from the computer when the browser is closed and the browser session is completed. But web browsers like Internet Explorer realize that some users are exceptionally security conscious and wish to disable cookies, or prevent them from being saved on the user's computer.

Enable Cookies In Security Software
  1. Launch your privacy or firewall software.
  2. Navigate to the section with cookie controls.
  3. Choose to accept cookies.

4. Can I pick a specific running back more than once?

No, you must select a different running back each week.

Did you know that in 2006, 13 different backs led the league in rushing in a given week?

5. Why do some of the backs have a little clock next to their name (I can't select them)?

That's because they were probably involved in a game that has already started or completely passed. We let you get your picks in up to 30 minutes before game time, but then lock each running back as their game time approaches.

6. I don't understand the symbols on the Make Picks page, what's going on?

The legend above the Picks page is designed to help you cut through the clutter and make your picks each week as efficiently as possible.

Here's what each one means:

  • You've already selected this running back in a previous round and he is no longer available.
  • This is the back you have selected for the given week you are in.
  • This means all the other running backs are not able to be selected. Sometimes you will choose a back from one of the early games (Thurs night, Sat, Sunday @ 1pm) while the round is technically still open for picking. If your running back's early game has started, you are stuck with that selection and all the other backs will no be selectable.
  • Even though you can still make picks for the round, this running back's game has already started and he is not available.

  • 7. What gives?! I was given the top back because I missed the deadline last week, but I earned 15 points less than what he earned in yardage.

While we will give you an automatic pick three times throughout the season, the penalty is a 15 yard personal foul - which means we deduct 15 yards from your back's final yardage total.
